Dave Murray leads the firm's communications, marketing and public relations activities. The founder and owner of ClearImage, a successful Raleigh-area business development, marketing, and public relations firm, Dave provides marketing and PR counsel for SouthCap's portfolio companies.

Before joining Southern Capitol Ventures, Dave served as vice president of marketing for Marion Bass Securities. Prior to that, he was the vice president of marketing and strategic alliances at iEntertainment Network, an Internet entertainment company that had partnerships with AT&T, Time Warner, MindSpring and EarthLink. Dave was a member of iEntertainment's management team during the company's IPO and was their director of investor relations.

Dave graduated from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with a BA in Economics and Political Science and worked on Capitol Hill where he served in the offices of several members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Dave is active in the community and has served on the Board of Directors for both Junior Achievement of Eastern North Carolina and the Glory to Glory House of Refuge in Raleigh, NC.
